Orientation Module
For all Bachelor degree programmes or subjects, at least one and as a rule two to three modules in the first semester (sometimes also in the first academic year) are identified specially as orientation modules in the module summaries of the examination and study regulations.
Orientation modules are structured so as to enable effective evaluation of an individual’s suitability and inclination for the chosen degree programme. Thus, failure to pass an orientation module twice always results in compulsory course guidance, when the choice of degree can be assessed as a whole. For two-subject Bachelor degrees, there is also the unique feature that orientation modules for all unlimited admission subjects can be attended, regardless of registration on that subject. This is to allow students who are unsure of their choice of degree to easily find out more, including about switching subject, e.g. in the second semester.
