Sources for Regulations
All degree programmes offered at the University of Göttingen are listed on the website of the University. Selecting a specific degree programme reveals basic information about the degree itself and links to further information (faculty links, application form, orientation events, preparatory courses, etc.). Some faculties have set up separate websites for their degree programmes, where up-to-date news and information about the degree programme can be found.
Every degree programme has a Regulations subpage, which shows the current version of the regulations applicable to that degree programme. These include the General Exam Regulations (APO), and where relevant general regulations of the faculty, examination and study regulations, as well as the digital module registers (module guides) and – if applicable – also selection or ad- mission regulations. There is also an archive of previous regulations. Official legal publication takes place in the Official Announcements of the University of Göttingen. Official Announcements I are used amongst other things for the publication of regulations, whilst Official Announcements II which was introduced on 1 August 2011 only announces the digital module registers (module guides) and is only issued in electronic form. All publications can be found on the University website sorted by year.
The University course register (UniVZ) is the central source of information for up-to-date semester details and can be used to search by individuals, room and course, as well as to create individual timetables and for course-related announcements.
