How the Graduate Survey works
The annual survey of graduates of the University of Göttingen is part of the University-wide system of quality management by Student and Academic Services. Interpretation of the results is an essential part of assessment and development of the study programmes. In this context, the survey of graduates is a quality assurance tool that enables the inclusion of an output perspective on the basis of self-assessment.
Since 2009 all graduates at the University of Göttingen have been surveyed about the transition to working life at least one year after their graduation. Up until 2013 the survey was carried out in cooperation with the International Centre for Higher Education Research (INCHER) in Kassel. Since 2015 the survey has been carried out independently by the University of Göttingen. For degree programmes with a low number of students there is also the possibility of surveying graduates qualitatively.
