Method of Quantitative Data Collection

The Quality Management team at Student and Academic Services compiled the questionnaire as a work group in close cooperation with the faculties and the Social Science Methods Centre. The work group agreed a core section of the questionnaire that is presented to all graduates. Additionally, there is the option of developing faculty-specific questions which can then be presented only to the graduates of the relevant faculty. The core questionnaire ensures that relevant questions can be compared throughout the University. Faculty-specific questions meet the faculties’ own need for information. Graduates are contacted up to four times within the survey timeframe. The invitations and reminders are usually sent by e-mail. Following the survey, a methodology report is drafted which reflects on and assesses the survey phase.

After the survey in summer 2015, the questionnaire was examined scientifically and then revised accordingly. The questionnaire is adapted/updated annually before the start of each survey in line with events or following reviews of the previous surveys.
