Analysis of Results
Within the framework of Online-in-Präsenz evaluation, teaching staff have the possibility of viewing an up-to-date report once the minimum response rate of six students has been reached in Stud.IP. This report contains statistical analysis of general data (medians, averages and standard deviations), bar charts, free-text responses and the depiction of scaled questions using average-based profile lines. If the minimum response rate could not be achieved in a course, teaching staff can informally ask the QM department whether all participating students have also released their data in the event that the minimum response rate was not reached. If this is confirmed by a check, a report is subsequently made available to the teacher.
The up-to-date report offers the possibility, depending on the teaching situation, of flexibly arranging the times of the feedback discussion, which should generally take place in the last week of lectures (e.g. weekend blocks). The flyer Feedback geben – Feedback nehmen [Giving Feedback – Receiving Feedback] provides a guide to these feedback sessions.
The Offices of the Deans of Studies also have access to the evaluation software, providing them with the results of all the surveys in their faculties. In addition to the individual reports which are available online, the Offices of the Deans of Studies receive aggregated analytical reports and profile line comparisons analysing academic quality at faculty and university level from the QM department approx. three weeks after the start of the next semester. After that the aggregated and anonymised results per faculty are published on the university’s website.
