Bodies

The Central Bodies of the University are the Presidential Board and the Senate. The Presidential Board is responsible for handling the day-to-day business of the University of Göttingen. It devises proposals for the development of the university and reports annually on the achievement of the University’s tasks. The Presidential Board currently consists of the President, two full-time, and three part-time Vice-Presidents.

For issues that solely concern the University Medical Centre, the Board and the Faculty Council of the Medical Faculty take charge of the duties of the Presidential Board and/or Senate.
